A 5 round swiss tournament played between 1st July and 26th August. Open to Members, prospective members and friends.
Entry Fee £2.00
Trophy for winner. Prize for best newcomer (ungraded), Grading prizes dependent on entries. Time control: Game in 45 minutes with a 30 second increment per move.
Rules
Each round to be played on the night stated. Pairings will be done at 7:25pm and play will begin at 7:30pm. Any players not present will have a half point bye. Each competitor is allowed up to 2 half-point byes.

Results
For the first round, there were a lot of players away on holiday or unable to play for some other reason. Dan Billingham played a good game against Adam Ware but was unable to prevent a pawn from queening. Julie Wilson accidently deviated from her usual line in the French defence versus the tarrasch and was lucky to get a draw against Che.
